He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore, Sr. Alvarez and Lillie Janssen Alvarez; and his son Patrick Alvarez. He is survived by: his children, Theodore Alvarez, III of New York, Richard Alvarez (Selena) of Buda, Melissa Alvarez of Kenedy, Priscilla Alvarez of Kenedy and Erik Alvarez (Joannie) of San Antonio; his close friend Maria Soto Alvarez of Kenedy; and his siblings, Frances Alvear (Soilo) of League City, Oralia Moreno of Missouri City, Alfredo "Freddy" Alvarez (Adelfa) of Pawnee and Ernesto Alvarez of San Antonio. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
