We are sad to announce that on April 4, 2022, at the age of 54, Romney Alexandria Sample (Kenedy, Texas), born in Floresville, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father Ignatz "Pete" Scezpanik; her former husband Christopher Sobieski; and her friend Cecil Dean. She is survived by: her mother Lailey Sczepanik; her husband Derek Sample; her children, Rustyn Sample (Kristina) and Stephanie Mcelhatten; her siblings, Eric Szczepanik, Duncan Sczepanik (Clare), Kirk Sczepanik (Tina), Seth Sczepanik, Tobin Sczepanik, Darcy Seaton (Jeff), Katya Sczepanik, Emily Brysch (Joseph) and Alexis Irvine (Cameron); and her grandchildren, Tristyn Sample and Audry Sample. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorials may be made in Romneys's name to the Remedy Ranch Rescue, 98 County Road 307, Floresville, TX 78114.

“I can only leave the few memories I have of Romney but she made an amazing impact. Her and her husband came out to my rescue, Remedy Ranch Rescue and visited the horses. Meeting them with kind words and peaceful minds. I could tell the joy that Romney felt surrounded by horses. When I was informed of her passing I was struck with sadness to know I would not see her again but was honored that her family would allow her memory help more horses. I am so deeply sorry for your loss.”
