She was predeceased by: her parents, Miguel Alvear and Maria Herrera Alvear; her husband Jesus P. Villanueva; her daughter Virginia Hinojosa; and her brothers, Miguel Alvear and Zoilo Alvear.
She is survived by: her children, Lupe Colchado (Ambrosio) of Kenedy, Rosie Cortez of Kenedy, Janie Rodriguez (Alex) of Kenedy, Dina Tollefson (Dean) of Victoria, Leticia Prieto of Kenedy, Jesus Villanueva (Sheley) of Kenedy, Frank Villanueva of Kenedy, Eugene Villanueva (Ruby) of Kenedy and Martin Villanueva (Melanie) of Kenedy; and her sister Olga Segura of Houston. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
A rosary was held on Thursday, September 26th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the Eckols Funeral Home Chapel (420 W Live Oak St, Kenedy, TX 78119). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church (605 Karnes St, Kenedy, TX 78119).
