He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Fransen and Lillie Fransen; his siblings, Ruth J. Jones, Freda Grisham, Eric Fransen, Sr., Paul and Robert; his sister-in-law Ann Fransen; and his uncle Carl Fransen.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Elaine Haner; his children, Sharon Wegner (Gary) of Kenedy, Kevin Fransen of Kenedy and Keith Fransen (Lee Ann) of Karnes City; his grandson Jonathan Fransen (Becky) of Kenedy; his sister Linda Fransen of Sweden; and also, Grace Hope, Mary and Sandy. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to organization of their choice.
