It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dewey Frank Merriman (Kenedy, Texas), born in Elsa, Texas, who passed away on July 16, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Merriman and Katie Merriman; his former wife Elwanda Merriman; his wife Geneva Merriman; his children, Weldon Merriman and JoAnn Merriman; his grandson Clint Maddox; his son-in-law Ed Monson; and his siblings, Ward, Carl, Floyd and Winnefred.
He is survived by: his children, Janet Monson of Kenedy and Ward Merriman (Patsy) of Denton, Texas.; his grandchildren, Andrea Bell (Greg), Katie Hutcherson, Brad Merriman (Rachel), Jason Maddox (Jana), Kevin Auston and Misti Janese (Mark); his great grandchildren, Ashley, Shelby, Paul, Logan, Noah, Mykalla, Simon, Carleigh, Ella, Emma, Hunter, Dylan, Peyton and Wyatt; and his great great grandchildren, James, Willow and Jackson.
