He was predeceased by: his parents, Juan Soto and Pauline Soto; his wife Martha Soto; and his nephews, Felix Vasquez Jr. and Elijio "Lee" Garza Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Sonya Soto (Tony Moron) and Philip (Erica Soto); his grandchildren, Kristine Cano (Kyle Hayter), Kiara Soto, Oscar Hinojosa (Lauryn Brynelsen), Braden Kirk, Evan Soto, John David Soto, Kaleb Soto, Valerie, Tiffany, Erica, Roy Moron and Emma Sistos; his great grandchild Kyler (Katelynn Hayter); his siblings, Georgia Leal (Felipe), Susan Rangel (Hector), Rosie Garza (Elijio), Sandy Bondch, Mary Alvarez, Grace Salais (Joe), Clara Cantu, Eva Diaz, Mary Rodriguez, Juan and Benny Soto; and his siblings-in-law, Melinda Padron, Magdalena Cornelius (Don), Minerva Crawford (Lloyd), Marina Padron Sifuentes, Christina Padron, Felix Padron (Mary), Fabian Padron (Sylvia) and Frank Padron (Becky).
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 5th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Eckols Funeral Home (420 W Live Oak St, Kenedy, TX 78119). A prayer was held on Thursday, September 5th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Friday, September 6th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
