He is survived by: his wife Mary Helen; his daughter Sarah Jane Utley (Rudy Palomo) of Houston; his uncle Henry R. Sling of Corpus Christi; his aunt Joyce Cole of Corpus Christi; his sister Cindy Thompson (Tim) of Corpus Christi; and his nieces, Toni Davis (James) of Corpus Christi, Terri Faver of Corpus Christi and Kimberly Kelly (Patrick) of Tomball.

A memorial service was held on Friday, March 1st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Eckols Funeral Home Chapel (420 W Live Oak St, Kenedy, TX 78119).

Memorial donations may be made in leu of flowers to St. Jude Children's Network or the Salvation Army.
