Beverly Newberry Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Beverly Newberry of Kenedy, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 10, 2025 at the age of 80. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Beverly Newberry to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Edward White and Mary Nell Smith; her aunt Charlotte; her uncle Bob Jinnette; her brother James "Jimmy" White; her brother-in-law Charlie Stewart; and her nephew Cody Stewart.
She is survived by: her children, James "Jay" Newberry (Sandy) of Kenedy and Jennifer "J. J." Opiela (Billy Joe) of Cuero; her grandchildren, Quest Newberry (Adrian) of Brenham, Cason J. Newberry of Karnes City, Brooke Schrade (Gunner) of Cuero, Blake Opiela of Corpus Christi and Bailey Opiela of Cuero; her sister Nancy Stewart of Crowley; and her sister-in-law Cary White of New Braunfels. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rhodes Funeral Home Chapel (115 S Esplanade St, Karnes City, TX 78118). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Rhodes Funeral Home, Inc. (115 S Esplanade St, Karnes City, TX 78118). A burial was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at the Kenedy Cemetery (146 County Rd 329, Kenedy, TX 78119).
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made out to AlzCare of Dewitt County Activities Fund.
