It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Harper of Kemp, Texas, born in Sherman, Texas, who passed away on March 6, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John William and Lillie Lee Harper (Jett); his son Lynn Harper; and his grandson Michael Messerly. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Harper; his children, Jan Harper McCorkle (Wes) of Wimberly, TX, Vicki Wallace (Jack) of Kemp, TX, Tammi Messerly (Mike) of Irving, TX, Bennie Crawley (Teresa) of Granbury, TX. and Veronica Whitley of Arkansas; his daughter-in-law Kari Harper of Krum, TX; his granddaughters, Kara Crowell (Clay) and Kailey Brown (Clint); and his nephew Charles Wood (Sharon).
