He is survived by: his wife Sharon Stewart Evans of Kemp; his children, Vince Bateman (Michelle) of Canton and Melinda Roden (D. J.) of Edgewood; his siblings, Herman Bateman and Ruby Clower of Grand Saline; and his sisters-in-law, Pat Bateman of Edgewood and Darlene Morrison of Wills Point. He is also survived by four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
