He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sarna and Anna Sarna; and his siblings, Charlotte, Josephine, Stanley, Helen, Sophie, Andrew and Rosemarie.

He is survived by: his close friend Jose Aranda; and his brother Thomas. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
