He is survived by: his wife Sarah; his daughters, Kathryn, Elianna and Kristyn; his parents, David Starnes and Kathy Starnes; his siblings, Ashley Yost (Dan), Shelbi Adams (Drew), Hunter Starnes (Amy), Parker Starnes (Ivy), Landon Starnes and Lexi Starnes; his parents-in-law, David and Karen Wiersma; his siblings-in-law, Stephanie Laney (Lindsey), Andrew Wiersma (Gizzele), Hannah Gresham (Michael), Valerie Wiersma and Kayleen Harris; his grandparents, Juanita Starnes, Bud and Liz Starnes; his aunts and uncles, Skip Starnes, Mark Starnes (Connie) and Tamra Starnes; his nephews, Gabriel, Noah Wiersma, Andrew Paul and Owen Starnes; his niece Jane Adams; and his cousins, Laura Ehlers (Michael), April Sewell (Russell), Brittani Rutter, Taylor Starnes, Alison Starnes, Bethany Starnes, Ryan Starnes (Kristyn), Shane Starnes (Kelsey), Chasen Starnes (Kailen), Dusty Stephens (Heather) and Misty McMahan (Kamron). He is also survived by numerous relatives and friends.
He served with Air Methods during the height of the pandemic, flight transporting severely ill patients across the southwest.
