For Harold is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Byron and Allene Hughes Freeland. He is survived by: his wife Carole Wilmoth; his children, Rebecca Freeland and Eric Freeland; his sister Betty Ellison of Hubbard; and his stepchildren, Mark Everett (Steva) of Cary, Cheryl Smith-Bell of Strawn and Darryl Smith (Alice) of Cleburne. He is also survived by several step grandchildren, nephews and niece.
In lieu of flowers, Dr. Freeland's family encourages family members and friends to make donations to Meals on Wheels, Arbor Day Foundation or other charitable foundations/organizations of their choice.
