He was predeceased by: his parents, Clinton Brown and Lanora Pauline Kates Smith. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Sue Smith; and his sons, William Mark Smith (Angie), Russell Alan Smith (Tonya) and John David Smith. He is also survived by his family, including four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
