She was predeceased by: her parents, Rodolfo Rene Acevedo and Angelita Benavides; her daughter Leslie Marie Mendiola; and her sisters, Rosa Maria Aguero and Lydia Mendieta.
She is survived by: her husband Valentin Hernandez; her son Tomas Mendiola, Jr.; her grandchildren, Norberto Leza III and Kylee Mendiola; and her siblings, Rosa Elia Moore Acevedo, Linda Avery, Adelita Acevedo, Lesvia Castillo (Jerry), Martina Mendoza (Paul) and Jesse Acevedo (Michelle). She is also survived by 2 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Parker - Ashworth Funeral Home (22175 S Washington Kaufman, TX 75142). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Parker-Ashworth Funeral Home (2217 S Washington St, Kaufman, TX 75142). A burial was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Mt. Olive Cemetery (FM148, Scurry, TX).
