He is survived by: his wife Penny Kaufmann; his sons, Ronald Daniel Kaufmann Jr. and Jeffrey Hough Kaufman; his stepsons, Charles Wayne Steen and Jimmy Don Steen; and his siblings, Henry Kaufmann and Louise.
