He is survived by: his wife Lynn Shanks; his sons, Larry Edward Shanks (Lori Thomas) and Douglas Edward Shanks (Amber); his grandchildren, Trenten Douglas Shanks, Haley Rue Shanks, Taylor Michelle and Hunter Edward Shanks; and his siblings, Daniel Roy Shanks III and Linda Pitts. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
