He is survived by: his wife Joyce Faye McBride; his sons, John Burnett, Jr. (Charlotte) and James Russell (Tracey); his great grandchildren, Kolton Cook, McKynna Rotenberry, Jase Moore, Caroline Moore and Lucchesse Moore; his sister-in-law Louise Boles; his close friends, Phyllis Goodroe, Susan and Earl Towsend of Jacksonville Florida; and his brothers-in-law, Clarence Spradlin, Edwin Boles, David McBride and Freddie McBride.
