The memory of Janis Day of Kaufman, Texas, born in Teague, Texas, who passed away on November 18, 2024 at the age of 86, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. Though Janis may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Glover Wren and Dora Wren; and her husband Cecil W. Day. She is survived by: her children, Tina, Terisa and Leland. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Parker - Ashworth Funeral Home (22175 S Washington Kaufman, TX 75142). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Kemp Cemetery.
