He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Hughey and Eula Hughey of Kaufman, Texas.; and his siblings, Linnie Lou Moss, Ruby Lee Henry, Nealy Chappell Hughey Wilhite, Delfrey Hughey, Jessie Hughey Jr., Robert Earl Hughey, Harry Hughey, William Albert Hughey, Sr. and Walter L Hughey.
He is survived by: his wife Benita Jones Hughey of Cedar Hill, TX; his friend Albert Pierce; his sons, Hollies Hughey II of Cedar Hill, TX and Collin Hughey of New York; and his sister Lydia Nix of Heartland, TX. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
