He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Marshall Sr. Hatchel and Bonnie Shaw Hatchel; his siblings, James, Rickey Hatchel, Sonja Bush and Barbara Guinn; his wife Sherilyn Roberts Hatchel; his children, Jeffrey Hatchel (Wendi) of Terrell, Brandon Hatchel (Angela) of Dallas and Leslie Turner (James) of Mabank; his sisters, Jean Hall of Mesquite, Kay Foster of Kaufman and Gail Tilson of Kaufman; his grandchildren, Bonnie Mott, Katherine Hodgson, Taylor, Kaylie and Jacob Hatchel; and his mother-in-law Adeline Roberts. He was also cherished by 4 step-grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.

Memorials are requested to be donated to the Alzheimer's Association, Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation, or American Heart Association.
