We are sad to announce that on January 10, 2023 we had to say goodbye to Doris Faye Davis (Kaufman, Texas), born in Hillsboro, Texas. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Doris Basham and Lora Fae Davidson Basham; her husband Charles Don Davis, Sr.; her children, Ricky Merkel and Sherry McNeil; and her grandson Preston McNeil.
She is survived by: her children, Roxie Goldsmith and Charles Davis, Jr.; her grandson Eric W. Thompson II; her stepdaughter Laura Maxwell; and her children, David Merkel, Larry Merkel, Becky Hornsby and Donald Merkel. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to any of the local animal shelters.
