He was predeceased by: his mother Patricia Griggs Smith; and his wife Karen Shackleford Smith. He is survived by: his father John R. Smith of Kaufman; and his daughters, Kimi Price and Jessica Shackleford of Texas. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
