It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Layne Anderson of Katy, Texas, who passed away on June 5, 2024, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Harold Waldermar Anderson; her parents, Sallie Caroline Greenwood Layne and John Lee Layne; and her siblings, Edna Lorene Layne Brooks, Leo Greenwood Layne and Dennis Fleet Layne.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra Layne Anderson Townsend (Glen Allen Townsend) of Houston and Larry William Anderson of Highlands Ranch; her grandchildren, Robin Layne Townsend Geddes (John David Geddes) of Houston and Kelly Ann Townsend (Nancy Ballard) of St. Petersburg, Florida; her great grandchildren, Perry Allise Cannon Thode (Daniel Martin Thode) of Alexandria, Virginia and Rachel Ann Geddes of Durham; her cousin Jean Chappell Bryan; her nieces, Linda Brooks, Janna Deluca and Marion Hughes; and her nephew Randy Brooks.
