She was predeceased by: her father Richard Alexander; and her sister Celesia Perry Sheppard Ferrand. She is survived by: her mother Evelyn Alexander; her siblings, Kenneth Perry and Darlene Perry Parks; and her nieces and nephews, Judge Nicole Sheppard, Dr. Sumor Sheppard, Dr. Imanni Sheppard, Dr. Peter Sheppard and John E. Parks, III. She is also survived by her great-nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, godchildren, friends.
