He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis John and Marie Ney Meinen; and his brothers, Daniel Meinen and Ronald Meinen. He is survived by: his wife Aldine Meinen; his children, Bernadine Meinen of Columbus, OH, Andrew Meinen of Houston, James Meinen of Katy and Matthew Meinen (Valarie) of Katy; his grandchildren, Charlotte and Reese Meinen; his siblings, Duane Meinen (Sharon) of Fairfield, IA, Betty Ellerbroek of Denver, CO, Thomas Meinen (Nancy) of Lake Okoboji, IA, William Meinen (Donna) of Sioux Falls, SD and Donna Marczynski (Lou) of New Braunfels, TX; and his sister-in-law Kathy Meinen of Mt. Pleasant, IA. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family of Richard asked that a donation be made in his name to Epiphany of the Lord School's Magi Fund.
