He was predeceased by: his parents, Chaturbhai Narotambhai Patel and Jyotiben Chaturbhai Patel; and his siblings, Kantaben Manibhai Patel, Dineshbhai Chaturbhai Patel and Ushaben Dinbandhu Raval.
He is survived by: his wife Jyotsna Ramesh Patel; his daughters, Kinnari Patel Hoover (Stephen), Rupal Patel McMillan (Chad), Deepa Patel Somcio (Ray) and Shital Ramesh Patel; his grandchildren, India, Hannah Hoover, Anya, Riya Somcio, Noah and Anjali McMillan; and his sister Urmilaben Manilal Patel. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
