She was predeceased by: her parents, Thelma Brewer Barton and L. B. Barton; her husband Wilbur Evans; and her sister Frances "Sis" Metcalf. She is survived by: her children, Sally Evans Jones (Doug) and Patrick Evans (Joyce); her grandchildren, Douglas Jones, Jr. (Tory), Mary Caroline Jones and Kelli Evans Claybrook (John); her great grandchildren, Douglas "Tripp" Jones III, Lucas Angulo, Parker Jones, Cooper Claybrook, Ramsey Claybrook and Millie Claybrook; and her friend Michelle Newlin. She is also survived by numerous nieces & nephews.
In lieu of customary remembrances, her family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions in her name be directed to the charity of one's choice.
