He was predeceased by: his parents, Maria Garza and Reynaldo Garza; his grandparents, Maria and Calistro Peralez; and his siblings, JoAnn Kennedy, Silvia Salazar and Armando Gutierrez.
He is survived by: his children, Jessie, Gus and Mia (Minda Rios); his close friend Wendy Ruppert; his grandchildren, Jadisyn, Jeytt, Jaizley Andrasek and Zeno Cano; and his siblings, Anna Maria Hodges (Bill), Mary Ann Garcia, Ave Maria Garza, Rachel Rodriguez, Joe L. Rodriguez (Virginia) and Reynaldo Garza (Nancy). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
