It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marlena Louise Darby of Katy, Texas, born in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, who passed away on October 4, 2022, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruffice Frederick Smith and Sadie Pearl Marie Mendiola (Crane); her son Timothy D. Gillespie; her siblings, Saundra McClain and Gerald Smith; and her granddaughter Shelby Gillespie.
She is survived by: her husband William; her children, Shawn Lee Gillespie, Nicole Elizabeth Copeland and Melissa Gillespie; and her siblings, Melvinna and WIlliam Buster Smith.
