It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leroy Smith (Katy, Texas), born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on November 15, 2019, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Smith and Bertha Smith; and his siblings, Arthur Smith, Bernard Smith, June Smith and Dorothy Smith-Williams.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret A. Smith; his brother Dordie Smith; his sister-in-law Iris Smith; his sisters, Joyce Walker and Loretta Felder; his brother-in-law Bo Felder; his child Tahira Knight-Zaluske; his son-in-law Walter Zaluske; his grandchildren, Xiamara Zaluske and Xyrus Zaluske; and his stepchildren, Richard Jones Jr, Cary Jones, Minyarn Jones-Ellis (David Ellis), Misty Knight-Soderberg and Paris Knight. He is also survived by many friends, nieces and nephews.
