He is survived by: his wife Mary Carroll; his daughter Caroline Stewart Benson of Dallas; his son-in-law Andrew Spraberry of Dallas; his brother Brian Benson of Dallas; his sister-in-law Tanya Benson of Dallas; and his cousin Bill Black of New York City.
