He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hampton Jr. and Dorothy Mae Odell; and his brother Michael Odell. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Odell; his children, Ashley Cornelius (Reed Cornelius), John Odell IV and Lacey Odell (Makenzie Sanders); his grandchildren, Jack, Claire and Pierce Cornelius; and his siblings, Gary Odell (Darla Odell), Gayle Willingham (Dan Willingham), Brian Odell (Laura Hernandez-Odell) and Wendi Odell. He is also survived by many brother and sister in laws and several nieces and nephews.
