Jermaal Owen Taylor Obituary
Jermaal Taylor was born on June 13, 1981 to Robert and Gayler Taylor, and thus the dynamic duo of Robert and Jermaal was formed with big sister LaSheryl ready to protect.
J, as he was referred to, was the quiet one and followed close to his big brother in sports. He participated in soccer, baseball, martial arts, and last but not least, basketball. Jermaal excelled in everything he set his mind to. He was also a Mary Carroll High School Football Team Ball Boy at eight years old, alongside his big brother.
Basketball also provided him with success from an early age. He played for his uncle, John Taylor, who prepared him for the big league Carroll High School Tigers. Jermaal also played the point guard for his dad, Coach Robert Taylor.
At about the age of three, Jermaal became interested in drawing while entertaining himself in church. Having his art framed and displayed, he developed his own style. He displayed his art in art shows and contests. Soon he was noticed and this triggered the business side that he inherited from his two grandfathers, John Taylor and Owen "Bubba" Jackson. Ronney Heslip also played a large part in his confidence and the development of young Taylor.
Jermaal's creations not only delighted his family and friends, he also developed graphic designs for classrooms where many students benefitted from his ability to bring ideas of light. He also held a Master Class from the Art classes at McDonald Middle School where he left students wanting more. His work has been seen and used to aid students all over the state of Texas. He created T-shirts and flyers for his high school, church, and organizations.
Upon his completion of his education of high school at Katy High, Jermaal attended Texas State Technical College of Waco, Texas. There he met the love of his life, Tersha Manning, of Fairfield, Texas. They were united in Holy Matrimony on February 14, 2009. To this union, two beautiful young ladies were born. Tziporah Sarai and Delilah Noelle. These ladies he cherished until the day he died.
Jermaal leaves this family along with his parents, Robert and Gayler Taylor, Robert Jr. and LaSheryl, many uncles, aunts, a host of cousins, and many friends.
