It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Oland Hemen (Katy, Texas), born in Columbia, South Dakota, who passed away on April 24, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leland Cecil Hemen and Esther Birkeland Hemen; his brother Duane Hemen; and his son Robert Hemen (Bobby). He is survived by: his wife Belva Marie Drake; his sister Sally Hemen Fairbanks (Don) of Rapid City; his children, Kathy Rauschkolb (Dan) of Katy, Texas, Jimmy Hemen of Ocean Springs, Mississippi and Ronald Hemen of Ponchatoula, Louisiana; and his daughter-in-law Laurie Barousse (Danny) of Lafayette, Louisiana.. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
