He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Henry and Sadie Viola Williams Maurer; and his brother Kenneth Maurer. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Rangnow Maurer of Katy; his children, Cynthia Maurer Hablinski (Chad) and Allen Maurer (Nga); his grandchildren, Allison Hablinski, Brandon Hablinski, Aaron Maurer, Avery Maurer, Sarah Maurer, Henry Maurer and Matthew Maurer; and his sisters, Valerie Adams, Judy Miller (Glen) and Brenda Bade (Aldon).
