He is survived by: his children, Ray Smith of Leawood, KS and Ann Lalime (Keith) of Katy, TX; his sister-in-law Pauline Smith of Overland Park, KS; and his grandchildren, Sarah Berry (Chad) of McKenzie, TN, Scott Hill of Katy, TX and Victoria Byrd (Keegan) of Van Alstyne, TX..

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Northcross United Methodist Church in Kansas City, MO.
