He was predeceased by: his parents, Marie Stampley Olson and William David Olson. He is survived by: his wife Donna Olson of Katy; his children, Shawn Olson of Sugarland and Chelsea Schneider (Chris) of Houston; his grandchildren, Aniston Olson and Bailey Olson; and his siblings, Gregory Olson (Sandy) of Plano, Eric Olson (Dianna) of Temple, Zachary Olson (Cecile) of Lake Charles and Elizabeth Floersheim of Kingwood. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
