She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Opiela and Mary Opiela; her siblings, Eleanor Dryzmala, Leonard, Walter and Adrian Opiela; and her grandson Ben Dragon.
She is survived by: her former husband Jerome Dragon; her husband Ben; her children, Shirley Swierc, Alvin (Mary Dragon), Anthony (Janice Dragon), Jerome (Patricia Dragon) and Joseph (Betty Foegelle); and her siblings, Fabian (Peggy Opiela) of Victoria, Texas. and Christine Kolodziej. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
