It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sabas Espiricueta of Karnes City, Texas, born in Runge, Texas, who passed away on July 29, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Juan Espiricueta and Manuela Espiricueta (Flores); his wife Dominga Martinez Espiricueta; his grandson John Anthony Briones; and his siblings, Tomasa Davila, Francisca Davila, Vidal Garza, Abraham Garza, Margarita Garza Munoz, Bartolo Espiricueta, Domingo Espiricueta, Bernal Espiricueta, Benita Espiricueta Ocanas and Anita Espiricueta Salinas.
He is survived by: his daughters, Esmeralda Ortiz (Joe) and Manuela Briones; his grandchildren, Amanda Briones, Jon Briones and Matthew Ortiz; and his great grandchild Reneslyn Briones. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
