He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny Joe and Albina Opiela; and his siblings, Virgil Opiela and Helen West. He is survived by: his sons, Frankie Opiela Jr. (Deena) and Billy Joe Opiela (J. J.); his grandchildren, Michael Opiela, Hunter Opiela, Brooke Opiela, Bailey Opiela and Blake Opiela; and his siblings, Tommy Opiela, Lillian Martin, Irene Elliott, Bernice Syring, Jeanette Byrd and Shirley Bartkoviak.
