It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eleanor Wiatrek of Karnes City, Texas, who passed away on March 4, 2022, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jerome J. Pawelek and Pelagia "Pella" Pawelek; her spouse Clemence A. Wiatrek; and her siblings, Aloys, Lambert Pawelek (Johnny) and Helen Wiatrek.
She is survived by: her children, Marilyn Micklethwait (James) of Spring Branch, Elaine Schrank of Denton, Valarie Kass of Karnes City, Diane Smith (James) of Coppell, Edwin Wiatrek (Lyndal) of Karnes City, Robert Wiatrek (Kay) of Austin and James Wiatrek (Happy) of Yadkinville, NC.; her grandchildren, Dana Micklethwait (Sonam), Amber Ritenour (Joshua), Travis Schrank (Yana), Nick Kass (Alana), Ryan, Taylor Smith (Ying), Lauren Housley (Chris), Jillian Winn (Anthony), Kathryn Wiatrek, Jessica Wiatrek (Lauren), Sarah Wiatrek and Jewellianna Bell; her great grandchildren, Tyler, Ethan, Katelyn, Ella Krapfl, Abigail, Caleb Ritenour, Trinley Tsering, Waylon, Sophia Schrank, Logan Wiatrek, Ayden Smith, Parker Winn and Madaline Kass; and her siblings, Cecelia Moy, Edna Uhlig, Lillian Moy, Alfred Pawelek, Fabian Pawelek, Alvin Pawelek and Jerome Pawelek, Jr. (Eleanor). She is also survived by her children, then grandchildren and for a few lucky friends.
