He was predeceased by: his father Vicente Serna. He is survived by: his mother Josefina Rodriguez Mendiola; his sons, Christian Serna, Claudio Cerna Jr., Matthew, Mateo and Ramirez; and his siblings, Yolanda Hernandez, Rogelio Serna, Luz Serna, Maricela Avila, Lucía, Jimenez and Feliciano Serna. He is also survived by four grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
