He was predeceased by: his parents, George of Washington and Bettie Ola Roberts Sr. (Sims); his wife Alice Modene Roberts; and his sisters, Ola Mae Cooper, Emma Lee Curtis and Betty Jean Rackley.
He is survived by: his children, Steve Roberts (Pamela) of Justin, Alice Houston (Cecil) of Euless and Judy Pittman (Troy) of Bridgeport; his grandchildren, Stephen Roberts, Chad Roberts, Cecil Houston II, Keith Houston, Karen Waller, Aimee Houston, Mark Coupland and Trey Pittman; and his brothers, David Paul Roberts (Dee) of Grand Prairie, Ted Roberts (Linda) of Pearland and Jerry L. Roberts (Katherine) of Wills Point. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
