Joyce Tankersley Obituary
We are sad to announce that on August 23, 2020, at the age of 91, Joyce Tankersley of Jourdanton, Texas, born in New Braunfels, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Erwin H. Voigt and Ida A. Voigt (Gesche); and her husband Leo V. Tankersley. She is survived by: her sons, Michael L. Tankersley (Barbara) of Hallettsville and Gary W. Tankersley (Kim) of Fairfield Glade, Tennessee; her granddaughters, Jessica Murphy (Pete), Kasey Lucas (Jay), Lauren Tankersley and Megan Tankersley; her great grandchildren, Ava Grace Matias, Myla, Jack, Ezra Lucas, Levi, Asa and Lola Murphy; and her sister Mary Ann Gross of San Antonio. She is also survived by two sons, four granddaughters, and seven great-grandchildren.
Due to Covid restrictions and concerns, the services will be private with internment at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park with the Rev. Mitch Kolenovsky officiating.
