He is survived by: his wife Maria "Chela" Welch; his children, Mike Welch (Toni), Sherman Welch (Faye), Corey Welch (Caryn), Maureen Welch, Doyle Welch, David Welch and Damon Welch (Heather); his grandchildren, Brandy, Scott, Brent, Dante, Alexis, Nathaniel, Daphnie, Zayden, Araceli, Brian and Katelynn; his great grandchildren, Nakiah and Azariah; and his sister Betty Lou Gaston.
