We are sad to announce that on June 25, 2021, at the age of 71, Antonio O. Ortiz Sr. (Jourdanton, Texas) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Basilia Lara Ortiz; his parents, Jose Ortiz and Antonia Ortiz; his siblings, Julian, Frank, Jose, Jesus, Pedro Ortiz, Isabel Gonzales, Catarina Guerrero, Petra Gallegos, Teresa Covarrubia and Ignacia Ortiz; his son-in-law Rudy Ybarra; and his parents-in-law, Juan, Margarita Lara, Eusebio Guevarra, Pablo Rodriguez, Isabel Cardona, Lorenza Ortiz and Victoria Ortiz.
He is survived by: his children, Erlinda Ybarra, Delia Muraira (Roger), Celia Chapa and Tony Ortiz, Jr. (Helly); his siblings, Marcos Ortiz (Frances), Maria Rodriguez, Vicenta Guevarra, Tomasa Olivarri and Lupe Olivarri; his siblings-in-law, Frances Ortiz, Sofia Casanova, Minnie Ortiz, Juana Lopez, Petra Cardona, Raquel Lara, Gregorio Lara, Refugio Lara and Felipe Lopez; and his friend Martha Lazaro Duc Van. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Due to private services, the family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Mr. Ortiz's honor to the St. Matthew's Catholic Church Building Fund, 1608 Campbell Ave. Jourdanton, TX 78026.
