He was predeceased by: his parents, Gus Coomer and Eleanor Coomer; and his son Neil Coomer. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Buchheit; his children, Sean McClard, Nathan Coomer (Traci), Mathew Coomer (Tanya), Monica Coomer Rushing, Clara Sanchez (Carlos), Rhonda Robinson (Josh), Beth Maurin Trace and Kaye Wert (Bobby); and his brother Verl Coomer.
