With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nelda Bess Hooper of Joshua, Texas, born in Cleburne, Texas, who passed away on October 15, 2022 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Eldon J. Dyer and Bessie Lee Dyer; her sister Billie Sadberry; and her daughter-in-law Vivian Livingston. She is survived by: her former spouse Pat Livingston; her daughters, Shelley (Jimmy Goebel) of Glen Rose, TX and LaGatha (Russell Baxter) of Burleson, TX; her husband Horace S. Hooper III of Joshua, TX; her sons, Steven Livingston of Walnut Springs, TX and Darrell Livingston (Lisa) of Alvord, TX; her stepson Mark Hooper (Shamarie) of Mansfield, TX; and her brother Louis K. Dyer of Abilene, TX. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren.
This was apparent through her dedication to her church at Alvarado Church of Christ, active contribution to Meals on Wheels delivery for 15 years, and volunteer work through the American Cancer Society for 20 years.
