He was predeceased by: his mother Irene McElroy; and his siblings, Alton McElroy, Gene McElroy and Louise Forsythe. He is survived by: his wife Mary Cruze; his children, Marion A. McElroy Jr. (Melissa), Jerry McElroy, Kathy Dozier (Paul) and Paula Homan (Randy); and his sister Doris Collins. He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
